Must be...don't recall the dealer but someone said the other day that a shop had some Hornady Vector ammo, which is tracer for pistols. Gotta be careful, however, as military rifle tracer in particular is a notorious brush and grass fire starter.

Load two first in your mag so you get a visual that your gun is empty and one on top so the BGs don't figure out that when they see the trace you are outta ammo. Pistol stuff also has some application in training as well....................................Oh...and CDI at night too. ;D

Dude I am far too dumb to remember where in the mag I loaded the tracers.

Still got half a box in the safe somewhere, they are very CDI when the range is long enough to see them. Ranges get upset when you use them. Can even lead to shooters having to pee on the backstop to stop potential fires...............or so I am told ;D

Hah! Yes...most US rifle tracers only start to trace at 100yd. You are aware that you can stomp on or use a flapper and beat fire out too? Right? ;D

A few years ago I saw tracer paint advertised, where you could "paint" or "dip" the tip into it and voila.... a tracer.
Has anyone tried it, or know where I can get some.
As an experiment, I want to try paint some shotgun pellets. That way when shooting in low light conditions you can see where the person is shooting
at clays/ birds, and be able to correct him.

Enlighten my ignorance.....can you buy tracers over the counter in South Africa? The only tracers that I have seen in my life is of military decent and thus a no-no to the civilian shooter..... confused0083
