I see you are also interested in firearms issued to the SAPS.

I have a similar theme that concentrates around SAPS firearms dating from 1912 till current.

This is a new theme and still needs a lot of research. It would be of GR8 help if someone could assist me with information on the various handguns issued to our SAPS, with possible dates when these handguns were put into service.

    Hi Cordite

You're more than welcome to start a new topic in this section regarding accreditation. There was a similar topic regarding 'dedication' in the Licensing section, but it never dealt with collecting and becoming accredited. http://www.gunsite.co.za/forum/index.php?topic=162.0

I second Boerbok. The collector assos process does seem a bit intimidating. Would be good to get some info.

    Hi all

I'm a Cape SAAACA member, so Boerbok (and others), PM me if you want to change beer into information :-)

I (supposedly) collect lever action rifles, spanish handguns, and anything designed by JMB (PBUH). I'm also working on a Ruger revolver FoI.

(supposedly) because I've submitted 20 applications (in September 2008) and if and when I get the licences I'll call myself a collector.

    Wouter in Cape Town.
