Default Gunsa call to halt license approvals for investigations

    Good day everybody,

I am not sure if this was the right area to post this.

This morning on my way to the office, I was listening to radio 702, The John Robbie show.

He read the news about GUNSA requesting all license approvals to be brought to a halt for investigations that some members of the public was arrested for fake licenses.

All licenses approved from the year 2010 would have to be reviewed. I am looking for more info on this.

I share your sentiment as my two CZ's also went into consideration on the 20th of June!

Send me your cell number on pm , then i will let you know if i hear something , and you let me know! They should be approved in one sitting i would imagine!

They've been calling for a moratorium on licences since 2011, to no effect.

They wanted this system that is unworkable, and now they are unhappy with it. I am surprised that they still get airtime saying the same thing over and over.

GFSA tries this every time something happens at CFR. Hasn't worked previously, hopefully it won't this time. I don't think anybody at CFR want another backlog like they had 6 years ago

There is a difference between a call from Gf.sa requesting a halt for investigation of license approvals, and all license approvals being put on hold.

I agree. They're using it as a scare tactic in my opinion. When an aspiring new firearm owner hears this, it might scare them and back off from acquiring firearms.

thats my 2c exactly... they always finding some issues... i see 3 people were arrested at the firearms registrar... It has got to do with the CT gang boss being shot dead about 2 days ago... trying to find more info on it on the 702 website.

All of us i hope follow the normal lengthy process for license applications and approvals.... so there should be no worry.
