Re: Collector's status
Comments for BBCT:
1) Problem - Lithgows were made in Aus, Canadian ones were Savage. That is the kind of mistake you will bleed for at your interview :-)
2) Interesting start date. First trial rifles were made in 1888 - there are some in SA!
3) Technically, by using the 'Lee Enfield ' name, you exclude all Lee Metfords, No 4s & 5s, the .22s, etc., etc. - intentionally?
BTW an LM is called that because it was designed by Lee with Metford rifling (a lot like Glock rifling). The LE - still designed by Lee but with Enfield Rifling.
One of the most important things a collector should have is a decent library (or at least one book) covering his/her theme/s - in this case 'The Lee Enfield Story' (which, incidentally, also falls foul of item 3 above).
Just trying to be helpful not

Yea Meteor that's not going to fly I don't think. Way too wide.
Because if that works then you do FoI #2 yadda yadda chambered in Centrefire Calibres and you're effectively at what Paul said.

Re: Collector's status
Good point.
I am still a bit stuck on the idea that guns are classed as revolver, handgun, shotgun, machinegun, rifle, rimfire -if you get what I mean- but that might have to change before I meet before these guys.
Demonstrating interesting technical development

Tell us what *really* interests you and what you want to collect and *why*. Very often people need a bit help working out what their interests really are.

I stand corrected Peter. Blame old age! To be honest I haven't opened it in years
