Thumbs up What is your favorite pistol drill?

I am looking for a few simple yet beneficial drills to improve on my shooting.

Give us your favorite drill (eg el prez) or just a short description of what you do that has helped your game.

    I will start with :

Draw and shoot 2 Alphas at 5m. Move to 10m and repeat. Go on until you end at 25m.
If you fail move back to 5m and start over. Do this at match speed.

You can do this with a training partner to put some time pressure on you. Just remember if one fail both go to square one (for safety reasons).

You need one IPSC target, patches, a timer to set you off and probably about 50-100 rounds.

Very good for draw and split at various distances.

I have a mild obsession with value optimisation, and the best value I get out of 50 rounds is Dot Torture.

Garcia's Dot Drill ( no not dot torture) is another good one.

Bills drills from 7m to 25 and beyond are very useful.

I cannot pin on just one or two.

Bill Dill, Accelerator, Frank Garica's Dots, Wide Transitions... another one which is very similar Bimini's ... the list is actually endless. Each one has it's own set of merits and targets specific skills.

Henno777 was kind enough to send me quite a comprehensive list of Drills which I have been using (thanks sir), and BigT provided some insight on how to best run those drills to get the most effective training session (again, thanks sir).

As it stands now, I have a list of around 25 different drills which form the basis of my practice sessions (i run half in one session, and the balance in the next). I feel they cover about 90% of the basic aspects WRT to IPSC.
