Thanks Cammo for keeping the flag flying.

Well done Doc, really is good to see.

    The Boer Brit Shoot.

This is always an exciting event. However as we did not have a full complement of Barstids available I did not anticipate shooting.

We had finished packing up the Sas range and were about to crack our first beer when Tracer got a “call up” from the BASA lads. (Big Bore Association) they are a great bunch of guys were a team member short and……… not fussy ;-)

The noise, smoke and dust that accompanies a Boer Brit shoot is awesome. As it had been a windless day and the smoke and dust hung in the bushveldt air obscuring the painted steel target plates.EFF2014 (602).jpgEFF2014 (598).jpgEFF2014 (612).jpgEFF2014 (629).jpg

Shooting in a scoped event Tracer did Sas proud. With a Scoped Marlin Lever action 30-30 he got 4 out of six hits and his team won their round!

These pics show the cannon been loaded with a black powder charge and a bag of mealie meal. This particular shot was a misfire.

All I can say is thank goodness for self contained cartridges and smokeless propellant.

Thanks camo great thread. I think that If I was exposed to that much gun powder and pretty ladies I would also be standing in one place making motorbike noises. Jokes aside I'm sure the effort that you all put in made the day for alot of people
