Re: Digital Safes Shown to be Insecure
These are only massmart brands - other manufacturers must do their own recalls for their safes. And I am sure Yale is one of them also.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but any idea if this safe will be affected by this issue? Looks quite solid coming from a specialist safe company

Re: Digital Safes Shown to be Insecure
I can't find a negative review, my assumption is that it won't be affected because it is a rifle sized safe and the handgun safes opened with potatoes and the like need a decent rap on the top to deactivate the magnet.
A shelf on top of the safe would prevent this sort of attack too, consider that as additional safety measures.

Re: Digital Safes Shown to be Insecure
I don't know. The foto with the big green mark is of an air rifle. Making this a suitable safe for air rifles.
As far as I know you don't need a super duper safe for an air rifle.
All jokes aside, if you can open the safe with electricity, it is not as secure as you think.

Re: Digital Safes Shown to be Insecure
An electronic safe is an iffy solution looking for a problem. Every one I have ever seen first hand has an 'emergncy' key anyway. Never got the point.
