    I'll help where I can.

    Who's co-ordinating this thing?

If I may: for points 2 and 3 (trawling this forum and the web for other stories) why don't everybody just post a thread in this section when they find some, that way helping point 1?

I propose standardised thread titles in the format of date, location, and then other info.

Me for now. We'll formalise a little later and divide the work up. Let's first see how many takers we get.

I would be glad to help where possible. My English grammar and spelling can like to be ok.

Standards and format is, IMHO, going to be important from the word go. I'm sure you've thought of that already of course. I have zero experience editing anything unfortunately.

To summarise, is the intention primarily to create a 'one-stop' document collating lawful DGU (defensive gun use) incidents (both successful and unsuccessful?), with the secondary goal of collating events that could have had a different outcome (again, better or worse?) had a legal firearm been available for defensive use?

Edit to add: With a South African focus I assume, otherwise it's pretty redundant?

No problem. That's why some will play the role of editors.

Totally. I'll build a simple template and example for people to use - so it all comes in in much the same format and style.

My 2c: start with the outcomes.

What we want to achieve should drive what data we capture.
