I am not much for public speaking and I am not the most tech savvy. I just want to keep it simple. For example with this topic of police arms used, I just have two documents. One with links to articles and one with the actual articles.

Like you say, life happens. A massive, all inclusive, continuing effort to contribute to a central integrated living database is unlikely. But my simple list will grow and be available.

I read the news everyday. 5 minutes to copy & paste, job done and I will feel that I have something useful to contribute (not just outrage)
    Perfect.

GunSite can help and be a great help and resource though if people just post in the correct sections.

I cannot find the numbers for weapons supplied to IFP, but it was mentioned in various documents that weapons came from Koevoet and SADF arsenals in SWA to Vlakplaas and then given to the Askaris and IFP. I think it would be near impossible to get figures.

Guys this is fantastic. We are really going to need it. I do not know if you have seen this morning but Jeff Radebe, Minister in the Presidency is now also speaking out for more gun control. I am not joking when I say that we could find that this time next year civilian ownership of firearms has been wiped out altogether, except for specific niches, such as hunting. We are in a very dangerous place.

Ok, I have added the data from:

    http://www.gunsite.co.za/forums/foru...s-or-robberies

to my lists after JS4 pointed it out to me. Those that had links to sources are included. I will add to this list daily as new events unfold. These documents are available here:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/x4vh664hi2...lved.docx?dl=0
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/fmfdr80fes...cles.docx?dl=0

Until someone has a better plan.

Also could one of the mods please move this thread to the correct place as JS4 pointed out:

    thanks

Shouldn't the articles in those links be saved onto the computer? Those articles and links could easily be removed for whatever reason if someone tries to cover something up...

EDIT: I see the second link contains a document with a lot of articles, that is good

    Hi RDiode,

Did you check out both dropbox links? One contains the full articles in the same order as the links on the first page. Or do you mean they have to be saved in some other way?

hehe I edited and said I saw both. I did not look at the content though, but if you say one contains the link and the other the articles in the same order, that is clever. One can browse the links and then search the other document for the article

Funny titbit: today's Sunday Crimes posits that contrary to what was believed last weekend Zuma's 'state' visit was not cancelled because of the perceived snub at not meeting Cameron... but rather due to the denial of his bodygaurds bringing their own firearms for the visit (now that it's not a state visit).

So (if this is true)... Zuma refuses to go somewhere where he will be disarmed...
