    Default LOAD SHEDDING COMING

    Hi All

I am bringing some bad news.

One of Eskom power station is going to be shut down within the next 2 days because a silo that supplies the station with coal collapsed today and it will take some time to get fixed. This means there will be more than 4000MW taken away from the grid.

I do not want to give to much information yet but will update the thread when all is in the open.

Thanks for the headsup. Do we know which area though? CPT? Up there?

Check out the City of Cape Town website. They normally post the load shedding schedule with a map so you can see if and when you are going to be affected.

Load shedding happens in the day as well, with all the streetlights burning in pure sunlight. Yeah, very clever of them.

Funny how this makes its way to a forum before it reaches senior management at Eskom. I just checked, there are no mails out.
