    Default RIP: John Gordon Davis

"John Gordon Davis, who has died in Spain at the age of 78, wrote one of the most famous novels to come out of Rhodesia, Hold My Hand I'm Dying."

Obituary in today's Sunday Crimes. No link, sorry, as they (very stupidly, IMO) restrict access to their online content to subscribers.

Hold My Hand I'm Dying remains one of the most profound novels that I have ever read, possibly because of the time in my life, and certainly shaped my personality to a large extent (although probably not in the way that the author intended).

Read it, if you haven't yet. I intend to do so again. Soon.

    RIP

RIP, I have a battered soft cover in my bookshelf. Will dust it off, a very good book indeed
