    A 4" .357 is legal for hunting. I've hunted warthog, springbok and fallow deer with 4" .357 revolvers. Practice, a lot, and get close, these days I try not to shoot at ranges past 30 meters. Personally I would restrict myself to game animals weighing less than 100 kg.

    I've used 150 and 170 gr SWC bullets and PMP's 158 gr jacketed soft point with success.


    I motivated the license for my 4" S & W mod 19 for hunting warthog.
