Hi all

I'm currently using HP ammunition 115gr and does anyone know of better rounds compared to these one's for 9mm CZ75

By HP are you refering to "hollow point" or the headstamp for Hirtenburg??

More info please! Which make JHP? Better for what purpose? Penetration/expansion?

Expansion and weight -meaning lighter . Expanding ammunition but lighter than 115gr.

What brand are you using at the moment? The next weight down is usually 90gr for 9mm. These bullets will expand quicker at the higher velocities that they ususally travel at but penetration is normally poor, especially when barriers need to be penetrated. If I were you I would rather stay with 115gr or go up to 124gr. Unless you have a special requirement?

I would not go under 124gr in a 9x19mm unless you had access to monolithics like DPX.

As the guys have said, 115gr and lighter in 9x19 don't exhibit sufficient barrier penetration to be considered 'adequate'.

What 115gr JHP's are you currently carrying? Normally 115gr JHP's are loaded 'hotter' than their 124gr counterparts which also limits penetration as with the increased velocity, the JHP expands quicker and more aggressively.
