Default Business Day picks up on the FA numbers

Who is Lauren Tracy? She seems to do well with counting but doesn't analyze the numbers. Confiscating a 1900-era Mauser is not the same as a full auto AK-47.

Good letter by Charl Van Wyk too...

Someone needs to pick up on the actual deaths by firearm, as contained in the recent release of Stats South Africa. While relative firearm losses due to negligence is all good and well, it is the outcome that is important, and the ultimate outcome we are referring to here is deaths caused by firearm-assault. And if that number is sitting at less than 100 cases per annum, then the time and money spent on regulating firearms loses most of its justification.

I've written a very brief letter. Let's see if they publish it.
