    Default 300 Adrian

    Hi all

I have this Contender barrel in 300 Adrian. It's got a full length scope rail, and a scope, and it's ported.

So I figure I should either licence it for handgun hunting or sell it to some recoil junkie type.

(The 300 Adrian is a 303 necked down to .308")

Anyone have comments / ideas / more information on the 300 Adrian (I think OPM was involved)

    I don't have dies, but $SHOOTING_BUDDY has (he has a T/C too).

And I remember someone else having a SMLE rebarreled to 308 -- saw it a long time ago -- guess it's pretty much the same thing.

Yes I have found a lot of talk about it and it goes by a lot of names but no real info, re loads and performance.

Seems like these 303 conversions were very common in Australia.

    Here's some porn for y'all.

I used 145 grain bullets and loaded 40 grains S335. This is a way low load. A friend suggested 44 grains S341, which is what I'll try next.
