Power Master Electric Inverter generators
Does anybody have experience with the Power Master Electric Inverter generators supplied by Afrinet? Am looking at their portable 3.5Kva one – could not believe how quiet it is, even more so than my Honda EU20i. My first choice is the Honda EU30is but nobody has stock so I’m considering the Power master.

Re: Power Master Electric Inverter generators
Hmmm... What is an "invertor generator"? Besides confused about its identity...
Does it invert 12V DC to 220V AC, or does it generate 220V AC?"Always remember to pillage before you burn"

Re: Power Master Electric Inverter generators
http://gentechindustries.co.za/open....nd=Powermaster I see landmark sell them for R7402 more or less. Basically it has a pure sine output which I stand to be corrected most gensets don't. But its a lot of money for a relatively small generator

Re: Power Master Electric Inverter generators
Likewise! Seems like the argument for them is that they are way quieter and more efficient due to being able to dial the power of the generator up or down as the load requires. Their run times are less due to the smaller tanks but I doubt that is a huge issue. And size - these things are tiny. And all that at a price - double and some compared to a straightforward generator. Here's where I step away - I understand databases not lektriek.

Re: Power Master Electric Inverter generators
So did you buy the generator. Any feedback would be great, looking at buying the same.
Thanks.

Re: Power Master Electric Inverter generators
Nope, was lucky enough to get a Honda EU30is instead. What sold me on the EU30is were the larger fuel tank, very quiet operation and proven reliability with local support/spares. Not saying that the Power Master is not reliable, but I could not find any reviews or feedback on it at the time.
The Power Master was very quiet when I tested it at the shop, but it also did not have any load on it at the time. It became a lot noisier as the load increased, but still very acceptable when compared to standard generators. Noise is very subjective so best try it at the shop and ask them to run a microwave off it.

Re: Power Master Electric Inverter generators
Got the Fragram 1.2. Pretty quiet. Runs perfect 2 year warrenty.
Saw these power master at Brights. They were asking about 8999.
Guy who was in shop brought his back. the off button did not switch it off.
Was just a 2 min fix in shop. Otherwise he said he has great success with it.
Just don't put a kettle or toaster on. They are watt hungry.
Neighbours have got normal genie. and their led tv makes lines. Don't know if it s voltage thing.
But our Iverter 1.2 runs all lights and 2 TV's with 2 dstv. And fridge. No hassles.
When you switch genie off. Some people say best is to close fuel flow valve. And let run till it stops. then switch off.
Apparently better then leaving fuel in carb for long period without use.
Currently were using it almost everyday. So not really standing still.
