Default Auckland Service Rifle Association - Natal Carbineers shoot

A few pictures from Sunday's shoot. Our association's chairman is also a SA'n (ex para) and we have had a long standing cordial relationship with the Natal Combat Rifle Association and we swap medals between each other.

We used South African Fig 11b and Fig 12a as the scoring zones are smaller than the ones used in NZ. I certainly found it challenging at 300yd with a RDS and a swirly fishtail wind.

View from my position at the 300. Fark it was hot, my handguard was almost untouchable. Would attach the COF but it's a PDF and I've got nowhere to host it.

Beautiful range. Please just watch out for the Hobbits.

It's certainly a picturesque location, Clevedon. Looks great during summer but in winter is the complete opposite - cold, misty and damp. Not to mention there's cow shit everywhere.

    Good up to 1000yds.

So in winter we change to another range - basically on the opposite side of the coast (western / Tasman sea).

Some more, the gentleman who's not a dancer is a former stallion though - a pedigree British one.
