Not as much as a single or double barrel....shouldnt stop you from competing.....run what you got.

First thing about a pump is it usually only holds 7+1 which already puts you at a disadvantage. Some guys used to run a +1 extension on their pumps.

A would say it limits your ability but not severely. Due to the nature of the sport and the long stages, if you can load a pump quickly you will be fine as even some guys with semis take long to load.

But as with any sport, if you want to be right at the top competing for top places on the US leaderboard, i would say a semi is a must.

At FBSSC there are more than enough to go around and borrow, till my 1301 comes through I am running a borrowed Versamax

I had exactly the same thought. Although, I run mine pretty quick, it is not enough to keep up with the guys running a good semi.

Also, anything about Power Factor in the rules? Couldn't see anything.

Nope, although I know all the guys that compete now run the same loads they use for other sports that have power factor.

Loading my 40 down to minor makes it really soft shooting (And then I would be on par with the IDPA guys WRT Power Factor).

Just saying. Not important. I wouldn't do it anyway (I see no point... will just throw me off)

Are SBRs allowed or will it depend on a power factor. I have not yet had the opportunity to work through all the rules.

This sounds really awesome. Although will have to learn to load my old Beretta semi-auto shotgun bloody fast only holds 3+1. Keeping an eye open for when this hits Gauteng really interested.

I think you're going to be needing a magtube extension... if your old Beretta supports it.

That's the problem, my old A300 cant take a mag extension. Will start with what I got and take it from there, once I want to really become competitive will look at upgrading.
