Let me know what exactly you want me to take pics of and I will do so.

    Reviving an old thread.

Does anybody know where I can get a dust cover with welded rail for a LM5?

For once the lockdown is over, obviously.

I believe that the dust covers with rails attached lead to inaccuracy, and what the guys are using are the replacement handgrips with rails built onto them

    Hi Mike

Yes, I decided to forego the railed dust cover and I rather bought the Fab Defense quad rail handguard. Hopefully I will be able to collect it once this ridiculous lockdown is over.

The next step is to find a suitable reflex/rds. I'm leaning towards either Holosun, Delta or even the Nikon. All of them seem to be decent quality with some warranty.

I like the look of the Leupold Freedom Rds with BDC, but it is almost double the price of the other ones. Maybe it is worth it?

Also, not sure if I will mount this Co-witness or 45 degrees offset. Maybe someone can chime in with some pro's and con's...

Same issue with the AK. However, TWS made the Dog-leg II to fix the problem and it seems to have done so. Time they or someone else makes the same for the R4-6/Galil series of rifles.

The TWS system won't work because Galils don't have a rear sight block.

The Zentico system has more promise.

A decent Ultimak style gas tube would be better.

The Jonker en Seuns Antares system is interesting. Similar to what Rescomp used to make back in the day.

As I recall MRST made a few clamp on rails for gas tubes too.

Apparently Suarez International South Africa makes Ultimak style gas tube mounts but the website seems to be defunct, did the company shutdown or something?

    I saw pictures on facebook.

They had an article in a gun mag too. On Target I think.
