Re: Power Bank
I bought a POS from china mall that was a battery/ small solar panel combo... It turned on in the shop, charged it when I got home, never worked again.

Re: Power Bank
cellularmall.co.za, they do all sorts of cellular accessories and at awesome prices. Make sure it's at least 6000Mah for smart phones etc because otherwise it can damage your battery in the long run. I have been told by a friend in the industry that the Muvit brand is definitely a good choice :)

Re: Power Bank
TAKEALOT has been running daily deals and in the past week they've had two power banks on there on special. Whizzy and Romoss are two popular brands that get good reviews. Something like the one below will be able to fully charge your phone and tablet and have enough juice to do about half a phone again, depending on the devices mentioned. Actually much cheaper than they were a few years ago as well, might just get one with the recent explosion of power cuts everywhere.

Re: Power Bank
What about a computer ups 1000W? But "Backstop" talks about 6000Mah isn't that a bit much?

Re: Power Bank
A UPS would work, but most of them aren't pure sine wave and therefore damages less strong devices like chargers. It's also A LOT more expensive, heats up, isn't portable at all and makes a hellish noise when the power fails. Battery also doesn't last as long as it should for such a large machine. Pretty disappointing, really.
