DFO requires Statement of Results?
Hi guys, visited my DFO today to hand in my applications. Did everything as required and was excited that i had everything in order except one thing. According to my DFO, since last week, they now require a statement of results from the proficiency trainer and not only the proficiency certificate.
Where do i get my statement of results from, as i phoned the place i did my proficiency and they say it has to be done through sasseta which according to them is under administration or some other place(PF-something). The guy says they going for a meeting on tuesday for this.
Anyone have any advice or help for me.
Will be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: DFO requires Statement of Results?
Are you applying for a licence or a SAPS competency ?
Reason I ask is, my DFO removes my competency training certificate and statement of results since I already have a SAPS competency. Thus I only need to submit the SAPS competency.

This is typical, we have to jump through hoops to get something done and you know what it doesn't surprise me

Re: DFO requires Statement of Results?
They want the statement of results for the competency application.
I also handed in the firearm application at the same time.

Re: DFO requires Statement of Results?
Oh, ok. I received my statement of results with my competency certificate from my training provider a couple of minutes after I passed the tests.

Re: DFO requires Statement of Results?
My statement of results has the name South African Professional Firearm Trainers Council on it, http://www.pftc.co.za .
Surely the place you did your proficiency at must provide this for you, or is it not standard and what's the difference ? I see my Statement of results also has the Assessor number on it, which my proficiency certificate doesn't, but that's the only difference in info I can see.

Re: DFO requires Statement of Results?
On a (somewhat) related note...
Has anyone had a DFO require a "Ranking" when submitting a DSS application. This has now raised it's head here, where the DFO wants your ranking in the club, and results from competitions to be submitted with DSS applications.
Eg. to hand in a SLR app, you have to show that you are actively shooting SLR in competition, and have a ranking at your club. So you have to somehow shoot enough comps with a borrowed SLR to obtain some sort of ranking, before you can get a SLR.....

Re: DFO requires Statement of Results?
Bullshit.
I passed my competency, hence I have a certificate. My results could be 100% or 1% above failing, the thing is I passed.
Ranking? Well I'm fucked I've been the same "rank" since my first classifier.
