    Looks fantastic,

Well done BChunter. What flies did you use, almost looks like clouser minnow. Where did you fish? And what was the reel/rod setup?

Awesome pics and man do they bring back some fond memories flyfishing Montauk for bluefish (or what we call Elf/Shad) and stripers.

    First the blitz...

Then the hookup...and those blues and bass can pull...

    The results...

The fly is a half and half (half clouser minnow half deceiver) - great sand eel fly.

I was fishing the lighthouse at Chatham (on the Cape) Fished both Sage Xi3 8wt with Vosler reel and a CND Oceanus with a Shilton SL 6 reel.

Very nice. Is it more tricky fly fishing at sea than on land or is basically the same?

We go once a year to Dullstroom to catch some Trout but would love to go on a sea trip. Just dont know to much about fly fishing at sea.

What fish was that? Striper? Reminds me of a cross between a Mullet and Spotted Grunter. Nicely done!

Salt water fly fishing is the final frontier..... Never let anyone tell you any differently.

Living here in BC is truly a blessing, I really do get to fly fish some amazing species...in some.amazing places.

This is my favorite video, whenever I'm feeling crap I watch it, and magically; everything always looks bright again...

    enjoy!
