Shooting Stuff's Cerakote Corner
We are very happy to be sharing our shop with Piet from Cerakote.co.za . And as such we thought it would be cool to start a thread where we can share some of his pictures just for the pure enjoyment of beautifully finished shooting stuff! Those who have dealt with Piet will know that he is routinely fully booked almost a year in advance. However, we did manage to make some repeating block bookings with him, and so it is often possible to have your firearm done by him through us, sometime before the end of the world.
For more info and pricing, email jonathan at info@shootingstuff.co.za.
This thread though is not really about marketing, it is simply to be for the enjoyment of it, and to share some great gun-pron that may otherwise not make it onto the web, or onto this forum.
We thought we would start it off with these unique slanted-digital Glocks, custom coated for Shooting Stuff. (One of them is our avatar also!). And before you ask, yes, the C-more optical sight was supplied and fitted in-house by us. Email us for prices and availability on those.

Is that a Deltapoint? How is it attached? I like the paint. Looks fast.

Re: Shooting Stuff's Cerakote Corner
Piet got an Accuracy International Stock all the way from the UK the other day. The owner had asked one of Britain's Established Cerakote Applicators to do the stock in custom "Multicam". The result was something that looked like a kid finger painted it.....
So, the stock came all the way to South Africa to get redone the right way.
While international jobs is not the order of the day, this is also not an isolated case. Many SA shooters who know their stuff and have done their homework will know that Piet is arguably the best at what he does in this country. But few here are aware that a large amount of Cerakote Professionals in North America and Europe actually know about Piet, and rate him as one of the best in the world. Makes one feel all warm and fuzzy!shooting stuff . . . it's what we do

Nice. Have heard ONLY good things of Piet's work. My FA's will be visiting him soon.
If only we had armourers/gunsmiths that could equal companies like SalientArms... would love to TiN the G19 barrel!

Re: Shooting Stuff's Cerakote Corner
There has been a bit of a buzz internationally about the "Ghost Metalix" Cerakote, so we thought it would be nice to share it here also. Piet has indeed been the first in the world to work out a practical and reliable method for discoloring ceramic/polymer coating in their wet state with different types of powdered glass, all within weapons-grade tolerances. Only those who know a thing or two about ceramics will know how big a deal that is. He has now involved his cerakote friends around the world to help continue and expand the testing. This product will be available next year, although some "civvies" have already stepped up and gotten their guns to be part of the experimentation process. Enjoy it!

Re: Shooting Stuff's Cerakote Corner
That looks sick, would be interested to see what gun metal grey would like on my Glock 19.
