Norinco NP44 vs Norinco single stack 1911

Hi all

I was having a look at the Norinco NP 44. Which would be better,the NP 44 or the single stack 1911. I see that the grip on the NP 44 is quite a lot thicker.

Does anyone have any experience with the NP44?

To be used for sporting purposes like steel challenge. I know that the capacity of the NP44 is 14 rounds but my concern is the grip on the NP44.

For steel challenge you would be better suited with a 9. Norinco do the Np 29 which is sweet. Spartan Arms had.

If you need a high cap at the steel challenge then you're out the running anyway.

If you must have a big bore Id still go single stack in any 1911 that isn't a IPSC Standard gun.

I have a G19 EDC but I dont want to use it for sport as well.

I have been using my single stack 1911 for sport shooting but was thinking of up grading to a higher capacity gun.
