Which is your favourite locally available AK variant?

Just a quick question , which ak type rifle would you prefer ( from the ones locally available) and why?

Type 56! It's cheap and good and you can spend the rest on ammo ( if you can find any).

it is not about the price (that is a bonus), this is a VERY VERY good AK

The Type 56, because I have one. ;)

I know very little about the subject, but have only heard good stuff about the Type 56, here and elsewhere. It has seen a lot of real world action too and stood up to the challenge it seema. Not to mention the prices they have been going for lately.

Still waiting to bring mine home.

Type 56 ? Is that the 5-8 k ones? I thought people would recommend the Saiga or VZ

Ammo if you can find any - I have lol'd

makes me wonder if its even worth it,with so much specials finding ammo gonna be a problem

VZ is not an AK or an AK type.

Why is ammo such an issue for these here? The prices on these type 56's are very attractive.

Not want to jump the gun(hehe) but I think that would possibly be the reason why they are on special...Look don't take my word for it,I am no expert to the calibre,but what I hear and have seen is they are scarce,and when there are shipments that come in it usually sells out quickly due to bulk sales
