I re-read PW Bothas speech he gave on the 15th August 1985. Some startlingly true predictions the man did make. Those interested can read it here: https://www.nelsonmandela.org/omalle.../06lv01639.htm

I blame it on over population / uncontrolled breeding (what can you expect in a country where the government pay people to breed (grants) ) Its simple, keep your group small then everyone can have quality of life. Go for quality instead of quantity. Just keeping on making more of yourself where we are dependent on natural resources to survive is not sustainable. We need to use the baked beans between our ears and think about the consequences uncontrolled breeding will have on our future - its a very real reality that we all might be sitting under trees one day looking at each other and wonder what happened, where are all the stuff? (if all the trees have not been chopped down) Poverty breeds poverty . . .

    It has come to pass.

Our enemies-both within and without-seek to divide our peoples. They seek to create unbridgeable differences between us to prevent us from negotiating peaceful solutions to our problems. Peaceful negotiation is their enemy. Peaceful negotiation is their enemy, because it will lead to joint responsibility for the progress and prosperity of South Africa. Those whose methods are violent, do not want to participate. They wish to seize and monopolize all power. Let there be no doubt about what they would do with such power.
One has only to look at their methods and means. Violent and brutal means can only lead to totalitarian and tyrannical ends.
