CCI Blazer for SD
To some of the guru's out there.
Would you carry Blazer aluminium cased loads for self defence?
I have shot nearly 100 rounds without problems of any kind in my Glock 23 and really like the recoil and control of this load.
Its loaded with the 180gr Speer Gold Dot it seems.
I would guess the Blazer stuff does not have sealed primers, what other issues could there be?
They failed to extract in a Steyr M40 but worked 100% in mine and a buddies Glock.

They are made as cheap training ammo. The aluminium case seems to get beat up quickly. I don't think any one has brought Blazers in for a loooooong time.
I wouldn't carry them. .40 carry ammo is easily available.

+10000!
Very old stock, there is much much better stuff available at the moment. 165gr Speer Gold Dots are available from Formalito still from the last batch, good round and good weight. Also other stuff floating around such as 180gr Remington Golden Sabers, which are also very good.

Yeah but it feels shameful to shoot Gold Dots at a target.
I have 165gr GD's and 165gr Sabers. More snappy than the 180gr loads though.
