I know the FAB ak 47 grip fits perfectly.

I fitted the upper gas tube covering with rail of an ATI railed handguard to a Type 56. With the sight on the rail it sat a bit high (which is why I wasn't using it but a friend wanted to test a red dot on his gun), so that works.

Red dot sight did wonders for me. Absolutely love my Type 56
