Apologies to the OP for the hijack...

Springer, I ran my first trial 2 weekends ago, the Border club had a derby/maiden trial. Met quite a few guys from the area. We got knocked out in the first round... It was good fun though.

I know the guys in Cathcart very well. I was with them last weekend, heard all about the trial. It was an additional Derby/Maiden yo pre-qualify for the season, you will be able to get another crack at it if you go to Tarka. Trialing is great fun, a better bunch of guys you would find hard to find.

HadEnuf - probably the fact that they shock... People don't know what they are about, least of all the SPCA.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I got an el-cheapo Chinese import at short notice. My advice - don't do it. It only worked intermittently. I wanted to return it and then went and lost the bloody remote on the last walk before dusk...

    Cheers

Sportdog collars also have the shock function. Friend of mine trained his 4 legged friend with it.

    Buy once jws123.

Your best option from overseas is someone willing to use USPS because most couriers end up in customs.
The collars are not illegal but they are using the law that says "do not torture" to try and stop you. The law does not prohibit or mention shock collars.

Fork it! Here I am with US holster orders trying to force them to use couriers because USPS will end up with your parcel in the SAPO mess here !

I brought mine in a few years back, got it at Cabelas . no import hassles . however Post Office is a big no no these days, use UPS , Fedex or any other courier company . As to SPCA and Customs, pay them no never mind, They tried that Shite with a mate of mine 3 years ago, said Mate got her collars, SPCA is a zero on a contract and have no statutory standing.

To the OP, I'm selling my Delta Sport with 2 collars. Have a look in the for sale section if you're interested.
