Yep. You also can't phone the cops for every noise you hear - more often than not you gotta find out what it is first.

Of course, but leaving the space where you have an advantage and advancing towards something unknown is not very clever, as seen in many articles and threads posted here.

If you don't have armed response or the police take ages to arrive rather let them take the flat screen. If they advance towards you and your family, yes, then escalate.

She is at least willing to take her safety into her own hands by being armed and prepared to use her weapon, and does not outsource her safety or protection elsewhere.

Great to hear of another win. However, I am quite worried for the woman's sake that they could return again, now that they know what they are up against.

It's always great to hear of such incidents where someone successfully defended themselves with an FA. But in the cases where the BGs got away, shouldn't one then be extra careful and extra vigilant, since they might come back for you with some worse agendas next time? How should one then look at such a scenario?
