Default Any amateur brewers on GS?

    Hi all,

    Any amateur brewers on GS?
Going to brew my 4th batch shortly, a Dutch Lager (similar to Heineken by all accounts) from a kit. Granted it's not all-grain, but the kits are decent quality without the hassle.
Next brew will be a partial-grain.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I bought a starter kit with the needed equipment (brewing barrel etc) a couple of years ago, but could'nt find any kits to brew more with. Where do you get your kits from?

I used to brew a mean pineapple beer for my braais. Hmm I should do that again. Always spoke about wanting to do beer.

Quite a few. Mag makes stuff good enough to sell. My experimentations have now lost steam.

My dad has been brewing for 6 months. His IPA is killer, and his Blonde won the light beer competition at the Yeastern Cape Brewers Club. He's also a great source of cheap beer for me :P

Yup. Heavy on IPA, I am. King's Blockhouse is my grail.

Brewed kits 20 years ago, then restarted recently with partials. Will get into AG sometime.

(Have you noticed what they want for a case of Windhoek light these days? Fsck them I say)

Got a kit from brewsmasters in east rand a few years back and make a brew once a year just for fun. They used ti sell all the consubles as well and delivered by courier the last time. AG is nice but you need serious equipment and time from what i've seen from the 2 guys i know.
