Bought a 22" ruger american 22lr on Saturday. Really neat little rifle for the price! Much better fit and finish IMO than the norinco which is pretty much the same price. Cant wait to take ownership.

Where did you buy and what did you pay?

I was under the impression the Norincos were much cheaper.

I'm tempted to get the full size for myself, but the compact will work great for my boys when they are older. In the mean time I can get the long LOP insert for myself.

The 18" will work lekker with a silencer as well.

No unfortunately not. They have the compact going for the same price. I think the Compact is nice for both kids and adults. You can get that stock extention thing for a longer LOP
