Default Pig & Vermin Hunting Rifle Photos

    Hi gents

I know it's discussed in a few of the threads, but we all know that a story is always better with pics

So post some pics of your rigs, with a short write up underneath of what we're looking at.

i'll play. Musgrave .308 built on a santa barbara action, a very old scope by the name of "First National" 3-9X40, my LED lenser with barrel clamp and battery pack with light on a cable that mounts to the stock for activation by the support hand.

Is white light the best? The spec for hunting lights I built always required red light so as not to spook the quarry.

Epsilon the white light works very well for walk and stalk through crops, hunters shine the lights high up over the crops and slowly bring them down on to the tops and eventually you can shine through the crops without spooking the quarry as they have become conditioned to the light after 20-30minutes.

in my case, i let the pigs feed for a few minutes and settle in, once I've flicked the light on it takes a few seconds for them to realise what the hell is going on and by that time you've already fired your shot.

I still need to contact you about your red light set up, i think its a far better option to slowly turn a red light on so you can really watch the pigs and decide on a nice animal to take.

Well my main jackal rifle is:
    243AI on Howa action
    26" Krieger barrel
    Richards Microfit stock
    Numenor Reflex
March 2,5-25x52 Scope (had a Burris 8-32x56 on as can be seen in the pic)

Light is a Lightforce 240 with dimmer
This set-up then works with my jackal vehicle:
This Ford was my first jackal bakkie but have a Hilux now:

Then I use the Pulsar for really difficult jackal or when I need to target jackal where I cannot call from a vehicle. It has been on my Schmeisser but will be mounted onto my 17 Hornet when the app is approved.

G-Force, how is the Schmeisser doing accuracy wise? Suppressor ASE Ultra?

It is really quite accurate however the 16" barrel limits bullet velocity quite a bit. That is a Nightro Supressor.
