    Default 2015 Delville Wood Memorial Competition

    Hi all

    It is time for our annual competition again. The competition is named in honour of the South African soldiers who fought and died in the battle for Delville Wood.


    • When: Saturday 25 July 2015
    • Time: 07h00 till late
    • Where: Funky Town, Gauteng
    • Kit required:

    • Entry fee: R200 for paid-up members; R300 for non-members.
    • Entry Requirements: L1 qualified member or by invitation only.


    Prize giving will be held on the day followed by a braai - please bring your own meat and refreshements.

    HOW TO ENTER:

    You can pay either with Credit Card or via EFT.

    Closing date for entries 15 July 2015.

    Zeroing time: 07h00-07h30
    Admin Time 07h30-7h55
    Start 08h00
    Planned finish time 14h30
    Prize Giving 15h00+ followed by bring & braai

    Competitors are expected to be punctual.
    Depending on stage rules, any gear dropped may be "kept" by the RO and will be returned after the competition.

    Please note: There will be an obstacle course event & a trick shooting event “Batman” where competitor will have to shoot at target(s) while hanging upside down.

    The advance team is in position... they have set up the range and some targets...





    The weather is playing along nicely, making sure it feels all European in honour of Delville Wood...



    DMurrish is planning to wear "gumboots with my kilt, tactical sporran and home knitted woolly woodland g-string", PesVis is concerned because he "can't find gumboots that don't make an airtight seal around my calves" and so forth.

    Newy has promised 3kg of wors for the braai, and HoneyBadger is breaking out some well-aged brew too...

    Looks like nature doused the braai! Got my kit packed and loaded will be heading through at the crack of dawn to FT
