Imo there is nothing new in the blade dynamics - it is out there and popularly referred to as Draw Point or Reverse Edge.

It seems to me they added clapping, stomping and slapping (if I remember correctly how they describe the local flavour they added to it) to an existing system.

Would be fun to see him trim his guard hand with the lunatic blender blade in his knife hand though...

    Might get messy.

After watching a couple of the videos I have to say this pretty much sums it up. It's clear even for a knive-noob like myself the system is completely asenine.

A good way to evaluate any system by the video clips they publish is to look at the "realism" level. If the demo partner is making a basic attack and then remaining static while the guru replies then although it may look really impresive, chances are that it will not work very well against an oponent that is moving and resisting in a realistic manor.

i have seen Piper in action first hand, the video's don't show you a 10th of what the system is about! you guys are looking at the video and saying from what you see it is no good! i would have done the same if i never seen it first hand! it is like saying boxing is crap because all you see in a video is a guy showing you how a jab works and then saying, see! no good ! the guy is standing still how is he going to hit you? unless you have done the system, gone up against it or seen it first hand i would be very careful what you say! some years ago a "little" guy from Brazil walked into a cage and took all comers in a no rules fight! that guy was Rickson Gracie. Now the world knows about grappling and is mad about MMA.

with all due respect! don't knock it until you try it!

Have you trained in it? If not, what knife training and experience do you have? Some members of this board have trained in various knife arts extensively (Geoff, etc) and I am inclined to believe what they have to say about it, due to their expertise. Jus sayin...

From what I've learned these last couple of weeks about blade-fighting : Piper will fall apart force-on-force. ( But since these guys only train with real knives there is no way for them to know this )
