Re: Setups
My rig and the way it is set up
I will put another post up on what guns I run and what accessories like mags and ammo I use
I run the following equipment
G-Code XST Hoslter for Glock 17
I use a retention holster as I find I can run much faster and not have to worry about my gun coming out. This is a physical as well as mental thing.
Taccom Shotgun caddies
I run 2 x Quadload 8up & 1 x Single Duelin Deuce (If more rounds are needed I add another one of these)
G-Code Single AR mag pouch
I carry either a 40 round or 30 round Pmag, depending on the COF. I always start with a 40 round Pmag (instead of a 30 rounder) as I shoot in the Practical division. I will add TTI mag extensions when they arrive
G-Code Glock Mag pouches
I carry 2 Glock mags on the belt, 1 in the gun
This is all run on a CR Speed Torque belt. I prefer this as I can hang up my belt when im done and all the gear stays on my belt

Re: Setups
PDH, do you flip up the retention bar on the pistol, before you start?
or is it there to actually keep the pistol in place during the stage?
edit: ahhhh, there I see... sorry

Re: Setups
If i am running a short classifier with little movement and I need a faster draw I will leave it down.
But for most stages I flip it up, and even when it is cleared and im not on the line.
If a stage does not require a pistol (seldom), I take the pistol out as my belt is then lighter
