Soooo...
I happened to pick up a nice baton with pouch at my friendly local swopshop.
It's made of 3 solid shafts and uses friction to lock; the handle is foam covered as well. It's a pretty decent weight and has a small, round tip in the front.
No markings whatsoever and it seems pretty friggin' solid! Collapsed length: 208mm (8.18inch). Extended: 534mm (21.02inch)

My baton is great, and the extendable baton design in general is capable of dishing out huge amounts of damage and disabling an attacker from a relatively decent manual distance. Also good for running with as I often end up going past the hairy combination of an open gate and a 60kg dog...
