    Can anyone help? A mate of mine wants to hunt ostrich. Looking for opportunity close to Gauteng - around March, if you please.

    I doubt that the standard 12 gauge will be able to drop an airborne ostrich. May I suggest a punt gun:





    PS Check out this month's Magnum - there should be an ostrich or 3 between all those hunting opportunities.

    a .22 pistol without scope and sights is perfect to shoot a Ostrich with..

    Just stand next to the fence.. hold some mealies out in your one hand and press the pistol against the birds head with the other hand and fire...

    Be carefull not to shoot your hand with mealies in..

    Now you have another trophy!!!!...

    Real hunter now... outwitted your trophy...

    No...!! Shame on you .... Shooting a, Ostrich is as low as you can go...

    It's not for a trophy, Mr Sensitive. Its for the meat. Getting tired of going to Woolies to buy it. And what part of "HUNTING wanted" did you miss?
