I have seen them at Wildman in Cape Gate and IIRC, AJS Running guns also had.

A very good review of the South African AR by GS member,Yeti published recently in Magnum Magazine.

    Are the DM4s Chrome lined?

Nope but I must say that my DM4 gun 1:9 is far more accurate than my Daniel Defense DDM4V5 1:7 twist, when shooting 69g or less ammo.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but mom chromed barrels have a life cycle of about 5000 - 6000 rounds?

Chrome lined barrels last much longer in general compared to non chrome lined barrels. Chrome lined are also less accurate than the non chrome lined ones. The SP1 US rifles were chrome lined and I shot almost 20k through mine.

Ok that's like 4x the bang. I reckon the cost is justified.

    I highly doubt that.

Non chrome lined barrels should last easily up to in excess of 10 000 rounds. It depends on how you treat the rifle as well, ie not doing mag dump after mag dump.
