Re: flying and firearms
Flew to East London on Thursday with SAA. My Alpine gun case got broken open. Luckily the firearm was still there. Gun case however broken and locks removed. Didn't get much help from help desk. Now I am flying back today with a unlockable case. Really very worried. They just claim that they're a registered courier and once I check it in it is their responsibility. Going to see whether they will fix or replace my case when I get back

Re: flying and firearms
Flew with a rifle recently and at the CT firearm check-in desk there was a guy that handed his handgun over in a plastic bag with a ziplock keeping the open end tied up. The ammo was also loose inside the bag. I thought that perhaps it was 'anything-can-happen Friday'.

Re: flying and firearms
Hi Guys, is there a list available of airports that will accept firearms? I want to fly down to the garden route was thinking of George, but it was stated that they do not accept firearms.

Thanks. Think we will fly to CT and then travel across.

Re: flying and firearms
Does anyone know if your standard gun case with a lock on it would be sufficient for transport on the airline? Or do you need to get a specific box?
