Re: flying and firearms
I know there are certain airports that don't have the necessary staff/police to accommodate firearms. George is another.

Re: flying and firearms
Your point? They all transport firearms.
Someone on the FB page said that Airlink transported his handgun, so I thought I would ask. Their website states that they will fly hunting handguns and "sport firearms" along with long guns. The lady I spoke to made it seem like it wouldn't be a problem if I could prove I would be using it in a competition. So yeah, if someone needs to fly somewhere with Airlink, it doesn't hurt to ask. You might get lucky.

Re: flying and firearms
Although 'might get lucky' doesnt help when you are standing at the airport with your handgun and they wont accept it for transport.
I have found that while they are helpful, RAPS do things by the book and dont make exceptions
Not an attack but finding firearm info on facebook is like getting financial advice at a steers

Re: flying and firearms
Guaranteed they will still give you shit at RAPS
I went up 2 weeks ago and they wanted to charge me for my handgun when I put it in a long case with my shotgun. No amount of insisting and showing them the rules got me anywhere. I still had to pay and got my refund after complaining to the operations manager who handled it well.
Much like a DFO, whatever they decide there an now is what happens (if it is different from the norms)
