Re: Malinois Breeders in GP
My comments about Maligators are pretty much the same for any high drive biting machine. Some of the GSDs we work at out club are as much work as a Mal.
Here's the thing: high drive dogs are a great deal of work but are very rewarding. If you can't put in the time and work, then rather look at something a little more biddable and easy to live with. Otherwise is grossly unfair on the dog and a waste of potential.Cattle die, kindred die, every man is mortal:

Re: Malinois Breeders in GP
No problem. We went through the same process with our Rottweiler. We were interviewed, home visited, contract on breeding restrictions etc.
If the breeder don't deem you "worthy" of one of their dogs, there should be a good reason and should not be a personal thing. She only showed us 2 dogs from which we could pick, as we were first time Rottweiler owners and she felt we didn't have enough experience to handle the "livewires" in the litter. Good breeders know which puppies should go where.
Ours ended up destroying small palm trees, irrigation, a window frame and my favourite, the Kreepy which was dragged from the pool and chewed up to pieces in front of our window. I am very happy that she didn't give us a "livewire".
