Re: INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY OF FIRECLEAN AND CRISCO OILS
Anybody interested in buying my new revolutionary gun lubricant, PnP GUnola oil. R100 for 750ml.
PS - also had FIREclean gunk/gum up a slide of a pistol that was kept in a safe for 4 months so bad that it was almost impossible to rack it. Sticking to Ballistol from now on, still want to try Eesox and Slip.

Re: INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY OF FIRECLEAN AND CRISCO OILS
I don't think FireClean being composed of vegetable oils was ever a secret; it's right there in the patent. I don't quite follow why there's now an uproar over vegetable oils demonstrating similar spectroscopic traits to other vegetable oils.

Lian posted a similar thread. What happened to that?

Re: INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY OF FIRECLEAN AND CRISCO OILS
Curious, most people who say they have an issue with Fireclean have had it with guns that have been stored, while the people who endorse it use their guns.
I wonder if there is something in that.
Personally I use SLIP, but that is because I got on the SLIP bandwagon a while ago and have lots, and it works.
