    I'm sure this is a case of a factory worker taking it out of the prosess and having some fun.

    The only thing you can possibly use it for is as a uncomfortably extracted TPL gauge. Other than that its a cool braai room ornament

    Generally machined in.


    Stages of life of a PMP 7.62x51mm case.
    Stamped out of a brass sheet, the cup gets extruded a couple of times.
    Primer pocket and base swaged IIRC
    Base gets flattened, shoulder is formed.
    Rim and trim.


    Mine has a different headstamp, and the flash holes seems to be made before the head stamping on mine, but that may differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.

    It's a Berdan primed case without flash holes it seems. Should have 2. That looks like a manufacturing boo-boo.
