So how do I get to go on a tour that includes those as part of the package?

Well I asked the CEO if I can have a tour, after swapping shooting stories with him for a couple of hours.

Dunno how you'd go about doing it. Try phoning them and asking?

I see you're also in Cape Town. Is the manufacturing facility in Cape Town or upcountry?

I was also invited to a tour there about two years back. Just never went, because I was in an argument with them regarding exports and local prices, etc. etc.

You should have gone, more info and all that. Not only do you get to see the foundry, which is amazing, you get see some pretty cool shit as well. Indoor 30mm cannon shooting, reliability testing with belt feds... the actual factory is pretty cool as well.

The blend between automation and manual labour was very interesting to see. The cannon shell factory was interesting too.

I guess I can still go, I never declined the offer directly. Just said "I'll see". Chatted to the actual CEO. Perhaps I'll make a plan when I'm in that direction again sometime. Thanks for the idea.

Reminds me of friends (European country) who used to make 7.62x38 brass from 7.62x51 and leave spent brass on the on military training range, & waitin for tall tales of "special forces' new weapons secretly tested..."
