    Hi Gert

Thanks for the photos and updates.

Interestingly enough on my Father's maternal side of the family, one of our ancestors was a wagon maker in Swellendam and when I was last in the Museum in Swellendam as a teenager in the 80's, one of his (now restored) wagons was on display.

A few photos regarding the camp fire cooking , it is possible to make food while thunder and lightning is all around you. Even rain is not a thread when cooking with these huge three legged cast iron pots. The bigger the pot the easier it is to control the temperature of the cooking ...

The bigger the better to cook in:

Afval/tripe was an attraction, even if the cooking process was during a heavy thunder storm with lightning all around...

A good breakfast was in order of the day:

I need to mention , we really did not get to all the activities planned for the Gelofte Fees this year..outstanding was "rieme brei", osse inspan , botter karring ect..I think there was too many items and not enough persons to see to it that specific items to be getting of the ground....

But there will be more time next year...
