No, you dont have to join 3 gun nation to compete, only if you want your scores to be uploaded.

In CT any club member can compete, just pay the match fee and compete.

They generally prefer if you have competed in any form of shoot, but as long as you are a safe shooter it should be ok.

When you get to the nationals you should have competed in a club match at some stage before that.

If you do want to join, there is 2 options, if you take the cheaper 45USD option you dont get the magazines.

    This sounds very exciting!

Pardon my great ignorance, and please excuse me if this is a terribly trivial question - Is 3GN an organisation, as in a club itself, that presents these shoots, or is it like IPSC where a number of clubs are IPSC-affiliated? Reason for me asking this is that I would really like to take up 3-gun shooting. Except for a few clubs that do offer 3-gun shooting activities from time to time, I am struggling a bit to find something like 3GN here in Pretoria that seems to be dedicated to 3-gun shooting. If, however, I have terribly missed identifying these types of clubs in Pretoria, please kindly guide me on the right path. In any case, please elaborate on my question regarding 3GN

3GN is 3 gun nation, one of the fastest growing organizations in the USA, 3GN is fast and demanding. There is a lot of money that goes into 3GN in the USA.....sponsorship/prizes etc.

There is only 2 official clubs in SA that do it.

I am sure PDH will add lots more info.

3GN SA is an organisation that runs competitions and matches on the 3GN (USA) rules and codes of conduct.

Clubs need to affiliate with 3GN (through 3GN SA) and hold at least 6 classifiers a year to maintain their status. This can be done in one match or spread over the matches.

As of yet, no 3GN matches have been run in the Gauteng region.

More information will follow this week

The 3GN SA Committee is the representative of 3GN (USA) here in South Africa
