.22 slip on silencer
Hi
1. Anybody heard of slip on silencers for .22 and other calibers ?
2. Any experience on how well or bad they work ?
Regards, Gideon

Re: .22 slip on silencer
I use one on my Krico .22. It works really well. You'll need to make sure that it's the right internal diameter for your barrel. The one I got is for a Brno and fits perfect. I didn't want to remove the front sight on my rifle as I'd like my son to learn to shoot with it one day. Also, the rifle is in great condition and I'd like to keep it original. If you're not worried about the front sight (or you can still get the threading done and retain it), I'd still get the barrel threaded and get a screw on silencer. The only downside of the slip on is the allen screws that fix it to the barrel. Takes a bit longer than screwing on a regular silencer.

Re: .22 slip on silencer
Re the Allen screws required to affix the slip on silencer. Drop a piece of lead shot(sorry can't remember the size put 7's or 8's should be OK) in the hole before putting in the screw. You can then screw it down tight without marking the barrel.
