Stupid movie gun stuff

The thing is that the Matt Axelson (the real seal not the actor) carried a Sig and there is even a commemorative P226 named after him for this reason. Its kind of sad that the armorers didn't make the effort to get the right gun for such a pivotal scene

That's how commercial Hollywood has become. No logo is shown in any production without the logo owner paying. And if they pay then great pains are taken that the logo must be present. Always irritates me when I watch a sitcom and every actor is drinking the same drink and they put their Pepsi bottles down in the exact same orientation so that the entire logo is presented to the camera. Just feels unnatural.

Back on track to the subject, I love how in movies and TV bullets only seem to cause problems while they are present in the body. As soon as they are removed the good guy is fine and will discharge themselves because "the case needs to be solved". Forget about penetration and expansion, it is all about what the bullet does after it comes to rest.

That of course only applies to the good guys, the bad guys terminate the minute the bullet touches them, unless of course they are the boss, in which case they have the same survivability as the good guys.
