Serious resurrection this but trying to be economical. ;)

Looking for a recommended knife sharpener in Cape Town. Not industrial type, machine sharpening though. Looking to restore the factory edge on some folders.

I got the Worksharp Precision adjust kit. Keeps my knives really sharp

There is a guy (whose name escapes me right now) that goes in to City Guns about once a week and sharpens all knives that have been dropped off by clients. He's sharpened a couple for me and took some extra trouble to lubricate my Victorinox folder when doing so. I can't remember what it cost me. Maybe give them a call and ask for more info.

The guys at Kitchen Samurai offer a Chef knife sharpening service, maybe enquire is they can assist with your folders..

I agree, contact ravingDiode. He once sharpened my EDC knife so much that I could shave hair off my arm with it!

Yes, looking at getting something like that soon; possibly a KME but want to sharpen up some knives for sale in the meantime. :)

I didn't think of that but that's also a likely avenue. Maybe they've got a free-hand sharpening wizard. :)
